GoProGoPro cameras embed GPS coordinates, accelerometer data, field of view setting, Protune configuration (color profile, white balance, ISO limit, sharpness), and device temperature at capture time. Photos from GoPro Hero and MAX models include GPMF telemetry data that can be paired with GPS tracks for action sports documentation and adventure logging.
GoPro GPS accuracy improves after the camera has had time to acquire a satellite lock. First photos after power-on may have less precise coordinates. For best GPS data, enable GPS in camera settings before your activity starts.
