How QR codes work
QR (Quick Response) codes encode data in a two-dimensional grid of black and white modules. Unlike traditional barcodes that store data in one dimension, QR codes use both horizontal and vertical patterns, allowing them to hold significantly more information — up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters at the lowest error correction level. The three large squares in the corners are finder patterns that help scanners locate and orient the code regardless of rotation. WiFi QR codes for instant connection
WiFi QR codes encode the network name, password, and security type in a standardized format that both iOS and Android recognize natively. When a guest scans the code, their phone automatically joins the network — no manual password entry needed. This is especially useful for cafes, hotels, offices, and home networks with complex passwords. Error correction levels explained
QR codes offer four error correction levels: L (7% recovery), M (15%), Q (25%), and H (30%). Higher levels add more redundant data, making the code larger but more resilient to damage, dirt, or partial obstruction. Use Level L for digital screens where clarity is guaranteed. Use Level M (default) for most printed materials. Use Level Q or H for outdoor signage, packaging, or when placing a logo over part of the code. vCard QR codes for business contacts
vCard QR codes embed structured contact information — name, phone, email, organization, and website — in the standard vCard 3.0 format. When scanned, the phone offers to save the contact directly to the address book with all fields pre-filled.
