Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert RAW to JPG?
Upload one or more RAW files from your camera, pick a quality, and tap Convert to JPG. Download each photo, or all of them as a ZIP.
Which RAW formats are supported?
Canon CR2, CR3 and CRW, Nikon NEF and NRW, Sony ARW, Adobe DNG, Olympus ORF, Panasonic RW2, Fujifilm RAF, Pentax PEF, Samsung SRW and most other camera RAW files. The decoder is LibRaw, the same library many photo apps use.
Are my RAW files uploaded?
No. LibRaw runs in your browser as WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device and nothing is stored.
Why does the JPG look different from my camera preview?
The camera preview is a JPG the camera made with its own colour style. This tool develops the RAW sensor data with a neutral profile, so colours and contrast can differ a little. Camera white balance is used by default.
Is the JPG full size?
Yes. The JPG has the full resolution of the sensor. Tick Half size if you want a smaller, faster file for sharing.
Why is the first conversion slower?
The RAW decoder is about 1.5 MB. It loads once, on your first conversion, and is then cached by your browser. Each photo takes a few seconds to develop.
