Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add text to a photo?
Upload a photo, type your text, and drag it to where you want it on the picture. Pick a font, size and colour, then download. Tap Add text to put another line somewhere else.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The text is drawn on a canvas in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is stored.
Is there a watermark on the image?
No. The download is your photo at its original size with your text on it. No logo and no watermark are added.
Can I add more than one text box?
Yes. Each text box has its own font, size, colour, outline and alignment. Tap a box in the list or on the picture to edit it, and Remove to delete it.
Which fonts can I use?
Sans, Serif, Impact, Mono and Handwritten. Each uses a font that is already installed on your device, so nothing is downloaded. The exact look can differ a little between phones and computers.
How do I make text readable on a busy photo?
Keep Outline on. It draws a dark edge around light text, or the other way round, so the words stand out on any background. A larger size also helps.
What format is the downloaded image?
A JPG photo downloads as JPG. PNG, WebP and other formats download as PNG, so transparency and sharp edges are kept.
