How it works

Before sending a photo to print, you need to know if it has enough pixels for your target size at 300 DPI. Our print readiness scanner reads your image dimensions and calculates the maximum print size across 9 standard formats — from 4×6 inches to A0 poster. It flags whether each size meets the 300 DPI threshold for sharp printing or falls into the acceptable 150-300 DPI range.

Tips

A 12MP smartphone photo (4000×3000) prints sharply up to about 13×10 inches at 300 DPI. For larger prints, you need a higher-resolution source or can accept some softening at 150 DPI viewing distance.
