Frequently Asked Questions
How do I rotate an image?
Drop your image above and press Left 90° or Right 90°. For any other angle, move the Angle slider or type the degrees. Then press Download.
How do I straighten a crooked photo?
Move the Angle slider a few degrees until the horizon looks level. Turn on the grid to check. Pick "Crop corners" so the result has no empty corners.
What happens to the corners when I rotate by an odd angle?
With "Keep whole image" the picture grows to fit and the corners are filled: white for JPG, transparent for PNG and WebP. With "Crop corners" the largest clean rectangle is kept instead.
Does rotating lose quality?
Turns of 90° and 180° move pixels without changing them. Other angles resample the image, which softens it very slightly. Save as PNG to avoid extra compression.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is rotated with the Canvas API in your browser tab. It never leaves your device.
