Text & Image Watermarks
Add copyright text with custom font, size, and color — or overlay a logo or badge image. Switch between modes instantly.
Position & Tiling
Place the watermark in any of 9 positions or enable tiling mode to repeat it across the entire image. Adjust opacity and rotation for the perfect look.
100% Private
Your image never leaves your device. All watermarking happens locally in the browser using the Canvas API. No server upload, no storage, no tracking.
How it works
What you see is what you download
The preview and the full-size file are drawn by the same code, with the same blend mode, opacity and position. Many overlay tools preview with CSS and export with a different method, so a Multiply that looked right on screen comes out as a plain paste. Here there is one blend setting and both paths read it.
Blend modes in one line each
Normal simply places the overlay. Multiply keeps the darks, good for shadows and paper textures. Screen keeps the lights, good for light leaks and flares. Overlay and Soft light add contrast. Darken and Lighten keep the darker or lighter pixel. Difference and Exclusion invert where the images differ. Color dodge, Color burn and Hard light are stronger versions of the same ideas.
Own size, fit inside, or stretch
Own size sets the overlay as a share of the photo width and keeps its shape. Fit inside makes it as large as possible without cutting anything off. Stretch to fill covers every pixel of the photo edge to edge, and if the two images have different shapes the overlay is distorted – the note under the preview says by how much.
Nothing is cut off without a word
A large or rotated overlay can reach past the edge of the photo, and whatever sticks out is not in the file. The note under the preview tells you what share of the overlay is cut off, so you can shrink it, move it or pick Fit inside before you download.
Need a text credit or a tiled proof mark instead? Use the Image Watermark tool, which runs on the same engine. To join photos edge to edge rather than on top of each other, use Merge Images. Explore all 131 image tools.
