HEIC / HEIFHEIC files from iPhones and iPads carry standard EXIF metadata plus Apple-specific extensions: depth map data from Portrait mode, Live Photo motion references, HDR gain maps, and ProRAW processing parameters. Our viewer reads all of these — including fields that many desktop apps can't display because they don't fully support HEIC's container format.
HEIC files from newer iPhones (14 Pro+) may include ProRAW metadata with 12-bit color depth and computational photography settings. Older tools often can't parse these — our viewer handles them natively.
